Cercle Cité

In the absence of exhibitions at the Ratskeller for the end of the year 2021, Cercle Cité commissioned a “carte blanche” from Monogram, to dress up the windows of the rue du Curé. 

Tell Me About (Y)Our Mother. 

What makes us who we are? There is often some difficulty in accepting consciously that what we see is regarding us.  

The symmetrical inkblots here, the carefully organized and layered kleksography of Mother Nature most powerfully stimulate apophenia, the human tendency to see meaningful patterns in random data.  

Personal associations are leading the way to the unconscious inner self, the deeper aspects of one’s own nature, but the root of our ability to adjust to the world around us is ultimately tied to our relationship  with our Mother: Nature.
